Sibley/Peteet Design included in Communication Arts 50th Anniversary issue feature “Visual Communications Genealogy.”
The March/April 2009 issue of Communication Arts magazine celebrates the 50th anniversary of the publication. As part of the retrospective on the last 50 years of graphic arts, the editors included a piece called “Visual Communications Genealogy,” which uses information graphics that evoke a beehive to illustrate the interconnectedness of the design industry across the entire United States, and how one creative firm inevitably becomes a launching pad for the next generation of creative firms. For the section of the genealogy representing Texas, The Richards Group is the epicenter from which multiple creative firms radiate, including Sullivan Perkins, Woody Pirtle, Jack Summerford Design, Herring Design, Eisenberg & Associates, and Dennard Creative, Inc. From Dennard Creative, Rex Peteet (having worked with Richards as well as Pirtle previously) and Don Sibley launched Sibley/Peteet Design.
